Pan-Hellenic League Announces Schedule
Teams Into Three Divisions— Each Member to Play All Others
A schedule of twenty-five games for the Pan-Hellenic Baseball League has been announced by the Poti Kappa representatives, Louis Puecek and E. R. Brown who are chairman of the Pan-Hellenic baseball committee. The thirteen members of the Pan-Hellenic League are divided into three divisions, and each team plays every other member of its division, the championship of the division being determined by the percentage of games won and lost.
The winners of each division will play the winners of the other two divisions in a final series.
The games will be played between five and seven each evening on the date, they are scheduled, according to Mr. Potueck. Failure of any team to show up at the grounds within fifteen minutes of the time set will constitute forfeiture of the game. No game will be longer than seven innings, and will be stopped on the even inning if they are to last more than two hours.

Professor Gives Advice To Flower Enthusiasts
"Plant shrubs and urbanais perennial seeds now," is the advice of Prof. W. C. Stevens of the department of botany. "If anyone is contemplating planting shrubs this spring, he should set them out immediately, because the shrubs are beginning to leaf out and they cannot be successfully transplanted after they are fully leafed.*
"Most of the annual flowers that are planted from the seed should not be planted out in the ground for several weeks. They should be started in boxes in the house and transplanted. However, seed flowers like the nasturtium having large sturdy seeds can be put in the ground now if they are planted rather deep. If flowers are started in a box in the house, their sprouting can be quickened by covering the box with a glass plate."
Professor at Rosedale,
Dr. J. E. Sawtell, Dies
Dr. Joseph E. Sawtell, one of the founders of the College of Physicians and Surgeons, an early medical school, and a professor at the University School of Medicine in Rosedale, died of pneumonia Friday, at his home in Kansas City.
Doctor Sawtell had been a practicing physician in Kansas City since 1898. He specialized on diseases of the throat and ear, and had delivered lectures on them before schools and societies throughout the country. He was a member of the American Academy of Surgeons, of the Kansas State Medical Advisory Board, former president of the Kansas State Medical Society, and several times president of the Wyndotte County Medical Society.
He was born in McMinn County, Tennessee, May 20, 1859. He leaves a widow and three children. One of his daughters, Davida Sawtell Greenlees, was a former student of the University.
Too Many Economic Students "Enitely too many students are enrolled in courses in economics for the number of professors in the department," said Prof. Maxwell Ferguson today. "There are 475 students taking courses in the economics department and only four professors to teach them. The department hopes to add three more instructors to the staff next year."
