Ensign Jack Caffrey of the Great Lakes Training Station is visiting in Lawrence. Ensign Caffrey was graduated from the University in 1916. and was a student in the School of Law at the time of his enlistment. The Kansan Board entertained with a dinner Wednesday night in the Kansan news room. Covers were laid for thirty. D. L. Hartley of Kansas City, Mo, and Mr. Vernon Moore from the Great Lakes Naval Training Station. Out-of-town guests were: Mrs. Maureen McKernan-Wood of Topeka, Miss Lucille Nowland of Kansas City, Mo. Mr. George Montgomery and Alpha Xi Delta will hold their annual Freshman Fare at the chapter house Friday night at 7:30 o'clock. Pi Beta Phi will entertain with their annual Christmas dinner Monday night at the chapter house. Kappa Sigma Banquet Kappa Sigma held its annual Founders' Day banquet at the chapter house Tuesday, December 10. Alumni guests were: Frank Parker, Robinson; Lieut. Frank J. Cramer, of the Colorado College chapter; and Prof. W. J. Peabody of the University of Arizona chapter. Thirty-six active members were present.
