University Daily Kansan Page 7 Friday, April 22.1980 Monte Moore This weekend will mark the last KU sports network broadcast by one of the most popular announcers ever to be heard over the network. Moore's Last KU Broadcast Monte Moore, "the voice of the Jayhawkers" for the past three years has resigned from his post at KU and has taken over the job as sports director for WDAF in Kansas City. Moore's resignation will not go into effect until the close of the semester even though he has been at the K.C. station since the first of March. Moore will be doing the relays today and tomorrow with the help of Tom Hedrick, who is succeeding Moore, and five KU students, Skip Rein, Warren Haskin, Mike Zakoura, Jerry Kenop and Don Culp. The Oklahoma University graduate started his broadcasting career in Lawton, Oklahoma. He next went to Hutchinson, where he announced in 1955 and '56.
