Poetry Hour Set
The speaker at the Poetry Hour tomorrow will be James E. Seaver, director of Western Civilization. He will read from the writings of Lucretuis at 4 p.m. in the Browsing Room of the Kansas Union.
KU Professors Receive Research Grants
Edward E. Smissman, professor and head of the pharmaceutical chemistry department, will continue a study of plant antibiotics with a $25,990 renewal grant from the U.S. Public Health Service. A two-year study of the effects of
vitamin deficiencies upon the heart will be done by Duane G. Wenzel, professor of pharmacy, with an $8,650 grant from the National Vitamin Foundation.
