The engagement of Cynthia Kay Roberts to Gary Dean Hale, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hale, Atwood has been announced by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Loren G. Roberts, of Clifton.
Hale, a member of Phi Kappa Sigma fraternity and Delta Sigma Chi honorary journalism fraternity, is a graduate of the University of Kansas. He is now editor of the St. Francis Herald.
Miss Roberts is a member of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority and a junior in medical technology.
The wedding date has been set for May 31.

Miss Delich is a junior in the School of Education and a member of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority. Mr. Werneke is a junior in the School of Engineering and a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity and Alpha Chi Sigma, professional organization.

William Gochis, Arkansas City junior, has been elected president of Pi Tau Sigma, honorary mechanical engineering fraternity, for next semester.
