BOUNCING ALONG in an army truck in Southern Bavaria, John Hedley, Coffeyville senior, decided to take a snapshot of a pair of oxen being watered in a stream near Hohenfels. The truck did not stop but Hedley pointed the camera in that direction and tripped the shutter. The result was the peaceful scene shown on the screen which was for him first place.
