Page 6 University Daily Kansan Wednesday, May 24, 1961 UDK Staff Heaves Sigh The final deadline has come and gone for the Daily Kansan's staff this semester. Its omnipresent pressures are gone until fall. But what of this group of chronically fatigued journalists with printer's ink in their blood. How has it affected all of them? Let's drop in and see. A punch-drunk lethargy settled over the reporters last night as they met their last deadline and they have been in that condition ever since. The editorial editors are sitting at their desks with dazed looks of relief on their faces. The wrinkles have faded from the brows of the managing editor and his assistants. The problems of putting together a paper each day and sending it to the press are gone. They can relax. But the whole group seems rather aimless. The lack of pressure is unnatural. Only finals, with the backlog of studying they have never had time to do, will begin to restore things to normal for them.
