10 Friday, September 29, 1978 University Daily Kansan Angel Bostock's funeral draws crowd of 1,500 LOS ANGELES (AP)—Funeral services were held yesterday for baseball star Lyman Bostock and California Angels teammate Ken Brett told mourners: "He enlivened our clubhouse and took us out of the darkness of defeat. But he was a winner. He enjoyed life so much because he had so little at the beginning." Bostock, 27, was shot to death Saturday night while riding in a car in Garry, Ind. After three seasons with the Minnesota Wild, he tied five-five-year contract with the Angels for $2.7 million. "When he found the road to success, his first thoughts were to help the people who helped him," said Brett, who is the Angels' plaver representative. "We are all better people for having known Lyman and having him touch our hands." THERE WAS a standing-room throng of about 1,000 for the services at the Vermont Square United Methodist Church and another 500 were outside. The Rev. John C.
