University Daily Kansan Thursday, Feb. 20, 1958 Teachers Discuss Special Education Educators and school officials from 18 Kansas high schools discussed special education for exceptional children in secondary schools at a meeting in the Kansas Union Friday. The group agreed all children of secondary school age should receive an appropriate education; but additional expenditures and more specially trained teachers should be made available to the schools.
