Dec. 19, 1957 Nation's Top Teams Here For 2 Games Friday The University of Washington Huskies and the University of California Golden Bears will bring their basketball teams to Kansas Friday and Saturday to challenge the second and third ranked teams in the country. Robinson Is Main Threat Friday night at 7:35. Kansas State, ranked No. 3, will meet the Huskies, and KU, ranked No. 2, will play the Golden Bears at 9:30 p.m. Both games will be played in Allen Field House. The Big Eight tonight continues a round of single games with Nebraska the only team competing. The Cornhuskers meet Ohio University at Lincoln, Neb. With Smart, Washington has 6-foot 4-inch forwards Earle Irvine and Al Murphy and guards Dick Crews, 5-feet 11-inches and John Tuft, 6-feet 2-inches. Missouri came out on top at the half. 38-25.
