The program tackles previously untouchable subjects such as organized crime, crooked beaurocrats, shoddy medical care and Stalin's purges. Notkin has served as an interpreter for a number of visiting Americans, including Ronald Reagan and Edward Kennedy and recently served as a visiting Fullbright professor at the University of Wisconsin at Madison.
