The Douglas County Rape Victims Support Service has served KU, Haskell Indian Junior College and Baker University and Sarah Larsen, director of the service. Ike's America Conference kicks off this week in Union Kansan staff report More than 300 people are expected to converge on the Kansas Union this week to attend the Ike's America Conference, which celebrates the 100th anniversary of the birth of President Dwight D. Eisenhower. Chester Pach, KU Eisenhower Centennial Committee chairperson, said the conference would include 45 sessions. More than 175 participants will give presentations that examine Eisenhower's life and presidency along with American society and culture of the 1950s. The conference will address many of the misconceptions about Eisenbower and the Age of Innocence, as 90s have come to know in Pach.
