Bristow of the Salina Journal talked to the newspaper classes Friday morning on "Editorial Writing." He favored the classical courses in college because of the general knowledge they furnish. Mr. Bristow emphasized the value of a definite purpose controlling the editorial column in order to win the confidence of the people who read it. "Pink Eye" Among the Students. Post cards at Vic's. Dr. Emley, the University physician, states that students should guard against the disease popularly known as "pink eye," which is now somewhat prevalent on the hill. The disease is infectious and may be contracted by wiping one's face on a towel that has been used by a person having the disease. NEWS OF MOUNT OREAD.
