NBC's West Wing snags four Emmys

PASADENA, Calif. — NBC's White House drama The West Wing captured four Emmy awards in creative arts categories Saturday, giving the series ammunition for its showdown against the mob drama The Sopranos at the main ceremony
next month.

Powered by West Wing, which heads into its second season in the fall. NBC captured a leading 14
awards, followed by HBO with 12. ABC and Fox each received nine trophies, while CBS received five.
The West Wing and The Sopranos each received 18 Emmy nominations last month, but the HBO show failed to pick up any creative arts trophies.
