The lawsuit, which is pending in the U.S. District Court in Topeka, criticizes KU employment policies. The suit includes promotion, recruiting and minor deficiencies for women and other tenure difficulties. Hinman said Tacha wasn't upholding an agreement signed by the University with the U.S. Department of Labor in 1982 that emphasized equal employment opportunities at KU.
