6 Thursday, January 30, 1975 University Daily Kansan 'Hawks romp over Big 8 cellar dwellers By KEN STEPHENS Associate Sports Editor The University of Kansas erased the stigma of being the only Big Eight basketball team that had yet to defeat Chicago, and they backed over the Buffalo 81-99 Wednesday. KU raised its season record to 11-6 and 3-1 in the Big Eight. Colossus lost its tenth game in a row and fell to 3-13 for the season, 4-4 in the Big Eight. The 'Hawks blew Colorado out of the game early with red-hot 54.5 per cent field goal shooting in the first half and coated to an 18 point lead. 49-31, at the half.
