Play revives childhood fantasies Fine Arts Reporter By ANGELA POTHETES Do you remember the day you discovered there was no tooth fairy? Young has taken liberties with the play by using characters from "Peter Pan" and "Snow White." She has also taken liberties with the realities of psychological treatment. A resident at Hashington Hall, Donna Young, remembers and has put the idea of the painful memory into a play that will be performed on Monday, June 15, and Sunday in Hashington Hall's theatre. The course is offered through Nunemaker College. However, Dummee said, any student who enrolls in the course must "If David Merrick wanted to do it on beach, might have to pay some royalty," she continued. Nunemaker proposes France trip "Tinkerbell is Dead!" was written and directed by Young and will be the first original script presented at Hashinger's theater, the three years it has been operating. Young uses Tinkerbell in the title and as a character, and the worksong of the seven dwarfs to exemplify the fantasy world of a child. She hasn't checked on copyright. "The Disney people and the psychology people are the ones who are really going to hate me when this is over because they are going to say, 'Electric therapy doesn't do that to Mental institutions aren't really going to go' I'm going to say, 'But they are.'" she said. Dineen said that he had been running the program for four years, and a trip to the hospital was required. "The intersession here is too short," Dinneen said. "I think that next year, in the fall of 1975, we could end (regular classes) before Thanksgiving, and then plan on going to Christmas before returning to returnable Christmas." Dinnen said. A trip to France for students of the Nunemaker College Within the College Intensive French school is tentatively with professor F. 1758, from Nunemen, professor of French, said yesterday. The Intensive French program is a 16-hour course that provides in one semester the same content as four basic courses in French, according to the course description in the catalogue of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. "That means that it would be possible to work between Thanksgiving and Christmas in a somewhat unstructured way," Dinneen said. The difficulty may have been resolved, he said, by the fact that students in the 16-hour course have already mastered presentation of grammar before the Thanksgiving break. Young said she hadn't and any personal contact with mental institutions. However, he said, the fact that there is another Intensive French course, 11 hours long, had created difficulty. After deciding not to conduct both Intensive French courses during both semesters, Dimene began conducting a program in which she took on the semester. It became difficult to fit a trip to France between the fall and spring semesters, he said. "We might be able to arrange something with a French university," he said. "Not per se." she said. The time of year itself had certain advantages, he added. He said that it was one of the least expensive times of the year to travel, that the weather would be better in midwinter and that there were many events and activities in France at that time. The Intensive French program would also The Maquintan Travel Certificate ($250.00) must be presented by the destination, or left open to be used as the recipient may wish. However, Dineen said that plans for the trip were still tentative. "I have written to the University and wishes to let them know that I have the idea." William Robinson, associate director of Nunemaker College, said the Intensive French program was open to all students, even those not within the college. The French trip had been discussed for a long time. Robinson said he didn't hear it until the evening of June 25. anything to do with another proposed French trip, that of the Pearson Integrated Humanities Program, which was a controversial issue a month ago. Robinson said, however, he thought that observing the problems of the Pearson trip, which was eventually disapproved, had helped Dimeen anticipate problems that would have delayed the job. Robinson said he thought the French trip made sense. "I think it is an absolutely perfect way to culminate a intensive of intimate French," he said. Young said she was aware of the nature of being director and playwright. Objectivity is a major problem, she said. As a playwright, she cries at the sad parts she said, and laughs at the funny parts. Young said it was frustrating as a director and as a playwright to coordinate the technical aspects with the creative aspects. She designed lights, hung lights, designed makeup and recorded some of the music. Young, who is a viola master, played the celesta for songs she arranged. Joe Hulse, Russell freshman, also arranged some of the music. "I know what's going on in every sector of the whole play," Young said. "I know exactly where they're repatching the lights.
