Wednesday, November 20,1974 University Daily Kansan Adams to return; 'Hawk seniors face Mizzou with string of wins 9 Coach Don Fambrough said yesterday that senior wide receiver Bruce Adams was ready to play in what would be the final game. Coach Adams earlier Saturday against Missouri in Columbia. "I think that the players kind of like to play on a natural grass field," Fambrough said, "unless of course the weather conditions are bad, which could make it difficult and unpleasant. But the conditions would be the same for them, too." This will be the first game this year the Jayhaws will play on a natural grass field, but Fambrough said it wouldn't cause any particular problems for them. Sophomore offensive lineman Morris Pippin has his starters starting for the Panthers. Failback Panthers. Fambrough said that the major difference in the Missouri offense this year was that they could throw the football much better than they had in the past. The KU seniors have never lost to Missouri and neither has Fambridge. He said that this game meant a lot to these seniors, but just as much to the Missouri seniors since they have never won against KU. Fambrough also said that KU wouldn't use anything new or different against the Tigers, but might run from the formation they revealed last week against Oklahoma. "They always have a good defense," Fambrough said. "This is a tradition with them."
