Plane study funded
A total of $62,498 has been awarded to the KU Center for Research, Inc., to continue a study of safety features available to manufacturers of small aircraft. David Kolman, professor of aerospace engineering, is the head researcher for the program, which began in 1969.
Coaches appointed
Marian Washington, assistant athletic director at the University of Kansas, has appointed three coaches and a trainer in the women's athletic program. The coaches are Nancy Boozer, golf; Claire McClay, tennis; and John Samples, tennis. Irene Maley was appointed as a trainer.
