Langford did just that, crashing the offensive boards. The result was three easy put-backs. "It's an easy way to score," Langford said. "Coach can't complain about your shooting if there's nobody there to stop you." Langford said he felt comfortable going to the offensive boards because that's what he did in high school. He also felt more comfortable with the college game in general after his second game of the season, he said. Although Kansas wasn't facing a Big 12 Conference opponent, Langford said the exhibition game was good for his confidence. Langford said he had been preoccupied with his mistakes in the first game but that after a conversation with his mother, he was much more comfortable in game two. In fact, his biggest critic was in the crowd, so he said he was pleased to have such a great game. "She told me to relax." Langford said. "She's my biggest critic."
