Piper played behind both Manning and Dreiling last season. He played in all 39 games and had a high-scoring game against Missouri with eight points and a high-rebounding game of nine in Kansas' championship victory over Wichita State in the BMA Classic.
Brown has also considered moving Manning to the center position, but he said that that was not where Manning could be his most effective.
"If I had to move Danny to the middle, I would be really disappointed in Sean and Mark," Brown said.
