Don Gullet allowed only two hits until the ninth inning, and Nawy Eastway came out of the Reds' bulpen to get the final out. The victory gave the Reds a three to two edges in the best-of-seven series with the teams returning to Boston for game six on Monday. The game will be needed, it will be played Sunday in Boston. Perez' booming horns gave Gullett a comfortable margin that he carried into the ninth.
