He recently returned from Singapore where he was competing in the Junior World Finals. While there, he won the 50-meter backstroke and the title of "Best Male Swimmer" of the meet. With winning so many medals and awards, people may wonder how a 16-year-old stays humble and grounded. Kansas will take its undefeated record into next weekend, as it plays host to South Dakota State, Gonzaga and Missouri State at the Javhawk Classic. If the Jayhawks win just the first two matches, they will go down in history as the team with the longest winning streak to start a season, passing up Bechard's 2000 and 20001 teams at 9- and 10-straight wins, respectively.
