14A = THE UNIVERSITY DAILY KANSAN ENTERTAINMENT THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 12, 2002 PBS wins most News Emmys The Associated Press NEW YORK — With 14 honors, PBS led the annual News and Documentary Emmy Awards in a ceremony dominated by work related to the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. CBS took seven awards, ABC six and CNN four. The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences awarded the prizes Tuesday night at the 23rd annual ceremony. The awards were for work done during the 2001 calendar year. The academy presented its first-ever lifetime achievement award to ABC News Chairman Roone Arledge, who could not attend because of illness.
