Sandwell, KU Weather Service Sean Tevis/KANSAN KBI schedules inquisition into death The Kansas Bureau of Investigation will be conducting an inquisition this week into the death of an unidentified man whose body was found Sept. 13 in the Wakarusa River in Shawnee County. Kansan staff report The man was shot several times, tied to a 45-pound beam and thrown into the river. The man's tattoos had been cut off, and his teeth had been pulled out. Investigators will gather evidence to be used in criminal investigations, which are closed to the public. Frank Diehl, assistant district attorney, said Scott Teeselink, a KBI agent involved in the investigation, said 16 investigators were involved in yesterday's inquisition. The investigation began Friday. "We've just gone over 220 leads," he said. "We have authorization to investigate through (tomorrow)." Teeselink said anyone with any information about the identification of the victim or the homicide should call 1-232-2763 or 1-232-2958.
