According to the Kerr & Downs Research Report, an estimated 400 indoor and 318 outdoor recreational facilities will be built for an estimated $4.9 billion. The cost of building a recreation complex has gone from $2 million to $49 million in the past 20 years, with the majority of the facilities costing an average of $4.9 million, according to the report.
