The campus consisted of one building, North College. Tuition was $30. The campus and its members survived dust storms, the Great Depression, drafts, Vietnam war protests, and the burning of the Kansas Union, to become what it is today: a "center for learning, research, scholarship and creative endeavor" that houses a record-breaking 30,102 students and 129 buildings, according to the University's Web site.
