Renovation of Wescoe Committees will be created in the units that remain in Wescoe to work on redesigning and remodeling. Improvements can be made for cosmetic reasons or for such things as adding signs and improving restrooms, stairwells and classrooms. The committees will decide whether to knock down walls in order to create more usable space for each unit remaining in Wescoe. Each department is responsible for creating their own conference rooms. Classrooms The Task Force has recommended that some classrooms on the fourth floor be turned into "smart classrooms." In other words, these classrooms will be equipped with VCR's and monitors for educational use. These classrooms may later be used for office space. Administrative Hubs All administrative offices for Wescoe departments will be located in a suite of offices on the east end of the second and third floors. These hubs will control payroll and will hopefully make sharing equipment and resources easier. Other Aspects of the Plan All faculty and key staff members will have individual phone lines with voice mail. All rooms will have at least one Ethernet connection. A German and Slavic languages and literatures library will be created on the fourth floor in room 4017.
