The 6-foot-8 junior forward did not start practicing until early January after recovering from an Oct. 29 surgery on his fractured right patella. After handing Texas its first conference loss, the Jayhawks improved to 5-0 in conference play. Only Oklahoma (4-0) is also undefeated. Oklahoma plays Nebraska (2-2) tonight. The Jayhawks have been ranked in the Associated Press top 25 for 142 consecutive weeks. They now are ranked 19th. Guard Ryan Robertson has played in 125 consecutive games. ■ Eric Chenowith scored 20 points and grabbed 13 rebounds against Texas, posting his four double-double of the season. Kansas held Texas to 35.4 percent shooting Monday, marking the 10th straight opponent to shoot lower than 50 percent against the Jayhawks. Robertson missed three free throws in the Texas game, equaling his combined miss total for the 16 games before Monday. Kansas forward T.J. Pugh posts up against Texas center Chris Mihm.
