On Friday, model mugging sessions will be held in two different locations on campus and will teach self-defense.
Ballard said that it will take more than a few hours to teach students all methods of self-defense.
"Communication is one of the most important parts of safety," Ballard said. "Sometimes, just to have these things fresh in your memory is enough to make the difference."
