Saturday, Dec. 11 is World AIDS Day. It's a time to remember anyone who has died of this disease and to support those struggling with it. The Spencer Museum of Art is joining with the Douglas County AIDS Project to carry on a tradition of displaying quilts where each square represents someone who has died. They hope not to only provide a place of remembrance, but to educate in the prevention of new HIV infections. Come be a part of the tradition and spread the message of hope, awareness and remembrance. The event will be at the Spencer Museum of Art 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Sunday evening.
