Joni Murphy, guest curator at the Spencer Museum of Art will lead a discussion in conjunction with the Native American art exhibit, Vanished Voices at 7 p.m.at the Spencer Museum of Art White Gallery, 1301 Mississippi St. Murphy will discuss various artistic Native American objects and visual art. The Atlas Shrugged Book Group discusses the literature and philosophy of Ayn Rand, author of Atlas Shrugged and The Fountainhead. Rand describes her theory, objectivism, as "The concept of man as a heroic being, with his own happiness as the moral purpose of his life, with productive achievement as his noblest activity, and reason as his only absolute."
