This year Vaughn is a candidate for the Rimington Award. The Boomer Esiason Foundation presents the award annually to the best center in college football. Credit for some of the improvements to last year's line can go to Ed Warinner, second year offensive line coach. Last season, the front line allowed 23 quarterback sacks for 123 lost yards, down from 37 the year before. Warinner changed the line's workouts and overall attitude.
