Friday, Jan. 22, 1965 K-State President Dr. James McCain asked the regents to recommend the financial legislation in two separate minutes which he submitted to the board. Two music students at the university were arrested on arson charges in connection with the blaze last week. THE REQUESTS would total $2,867,800 with $1,433,900 to come from the 1965 Legislature and a similar amount from the 1966 Legislature. Spring Semester Staff Picked Heading the staff of the University Daily Kansan's news and advertising departments for the spring semester will be Don Black, Hugoton senior, managing editor, and Tom Fisher, Lawrence junior, business manager. Students were selected to fill the staff positions by the Kansan Board this week.
