Two actors from the Yugoslav Drama Theater are now at KU. Madja and Branka Veselinovic are here to play in "Mother Courage," opening Feb. 10 in the University Theatre. The acting duo is also conducting lectures on international theater. Prof. Goff met Mr. and Mrs. Veselinovic in Belgrade two years ago. "They hosted me royally, and were very kind to the student troupe which toured Europe last year," Prof. Goff said. "I decided to invite them to KU." The arrangements for their visit were made through the State Department, Prof. Goff said. They were able to come here on grants from the University and the State Department. Mr. and Mrs. Veselinovic will return to Belgrade in time to host the KU troupe again this year, Prof. Goff said. March 17 Set As Bid Date J. J. Wilson, director of dormitories, said Thursday the administration hopes to be able to distribute the plans for the 680-space structure to contractors about Feb. 15. A tentative date of March 17 to receive bids on construction of a new university residence hall has been set. The residence hall, to be constructed on a site on the northwest corner of 19th and Naismith, will be similar in design to Lewis and Templin Halls. Tentative plans call for construction to begin around April 1, Wilson said. The residence hall is scheduled to be opened in September of 1966. Women Set Plans As Finals End, Spring Rush Begins Sorority rush falls close on the heels of examinations this year so all participants will have to recuperate from exams in a hurry. After the final examination week, rushees and sorority members will have just two days to prepare for a week of parties and meetings at the 12 houses on the Hill. RUSH WEEK begins on Tuesday, Feb. 2, with open houses for all rushees. Open house will continue on Feb. 3 with invitational parties on Feb. 5, 6 and 7. the rushees will sign preference cards on Sunday, Feb. 7, and these will be matched with sorority preference lists Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 8 and 9 by the Dean of THE SPRING rush period between semesters is primarily for freshman women who have attended KU for one semester and have a 1.0 grade average. The centers, eventually to be located in 105 major metropolitan areas, are designed to aid young people prepare for and find work.
