Consumer spending, 67 car prices raised
DETROIT — (UPI) — General Motors Corp. hiked prices on its 1967 cars an average of $56 today, joining Ford and Chrysler in a price pattern that could boost consumer spending a billion dollars.
WASHINGTON sources speculated on the possibility of the Senate Commerce Committee holding hearings next month to determine if auto price increases are inflated and unfair.
