Humanities talks set Seven speakers for the 20th anniversary year of the Humanities Lectures series at KU were announced today by the committee's chairman, Elmer F. Beth, professor of journalism. Other lecturers and their special fields will be: Oct. 11—Victor Brombert, Yale University, French literature. Oct. 25-H. W. Janson, New York University, art history, Lawrence High School auditorium. Nov. 29-John Caskey, University of Cincinnati, archaeology. Feb. 21-Jaroslav Pelikan, Yale University, church history and Martin Luther. Mar. 28-Raven McDavid, University of Chicago, linguistics. Apr. 25-Giorgio de Santillana, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, history and philosophy of science.
