ENTERTAINMENT "Saw III" grosses nearly $33 million in U.S., Canada
LOS ANGELES (AP) "Saw III" cut up its competitors to lead the weekend box office with $33.6 million.
The gruesome film from Lionsgate easily took the biggest slice of the box office, knocking last week's champ, Disney's "The Prestige," to third place.
The top five movies at U.S. and Canadlan theaters Friday through Sunday, followed by distribution
studio, gross, number of theater locations, average receipts per location, total gross and number of weeks in release, as compiled Monday by Exhibitor Relations Co. Inc.
