The newly-formed KU team earned a 4-3 victory over the Park College team, which finished fourth in last year's national soccer championships for small colleges. Park doesn't have a football team, and concentrates heavily on soccer competition. The Jayhawk team will return to action this weekend in a game with Kansas State at Manhattan. KU is planning to host a Big Eight soccer tournament sometime next semester. Featuring an international flavor, the 11 starters for the Jayhawks are from Iran, Congo-Brazzaville, Bolivia, Norway, Cameroon, Germany, Kuwait, Chile, Austria, Togo and Greece.
