Alliance formed to eliminate area racism, discrimination

A new organization is devoted to eliminating dis-
crimination in racism at the University of
Kansas in Lawrence.
Walters appointed 15 community leaders to the organization.
Weick said the Alliance would represent community sectors including religious groups, schools, businesses, law enforcement, health and social services, media and city and county government.
