Can't Pronounce It Will Investigate It
WASHINGTON — (UPI) — The Treasury—admitting it can't pronounce the word—said today it is investigating the sale of dinitrosopentamethylenetetramine.
The purpose is to determine whether supplies of the substance from Japan are being sold in the United States at an unfairly low price.
DNPT, as it is known in short, is a chemical used in making foam rubber and foam plastic.
When asked to pronounce the word, one Treasury official said, "You win, I give up."
