Lawrence puts off plans for municipal golf course

Lawrence golfers heard good news last night, but the city doesn't intend to build a course as some had hoped.
The Lawrence City Commission encouraged Jeff Gazaway, president of Twins Oak Golf Complex, Inc., to build an 18-hole golf course $miles east of town at the intersection of Kansas Highway 10 and County Road 1057.
