Portable water filter straw
If you ever find yourself stranded on a deserted island or lost in the wilderness, you'll need one of these puppies. This lightweight straw uses a series of filters and chambers to turn undrinkable, disease ridden water into potable goodness. Safteycentral.com sells one of these straws for $21. Even cooler, a similar product is being designed for people living in third-world countries with no access to safe drinking water.
