John Griffin, a sophomore from Dallas, took an online academic success seminar last spring. "What I liked most about it was the convenience," he said. "I didn't have to worry about being anywhere and I could do it anywhere and work at my own pace, which was nice." Because of that convenience and no face-to-face interaction with his teacher in a classroom, it was often easy to procrastinate or forget about assignments. He had to focus on personal responsibility to keep on top of coursework.
