One of the biggest changes students face when they come to college is adapting to life with roommates. Most dorms require roommates to sign a contract when they begin living together, which is a good way to keep peace. Finding ways to avoid the awkward conversations about responsibilities, money and overnight guests can be tough.
Living with friends can help make it easier to discuss these topics when you feel comfortable with them. But sometimes going "potluck" and taking a random roommate can lead to long-lasting friendships.
