John Myers, assistant to the dean of men, said specific hall assignments would be made this summer. Included in the recipients are 12 Summerfield scholars and 10 honors scholars. "We received about 500 applications." Myers said. "It was an extremely large number and I personally feel the selection process was very difficult. "These are extremely capable young men," Myers continued. "If we had the facilities we could easily have filled several more halls." AT THE PRESENT TIME, according to Myers, vacancies in the system for next year are estimated to be between 80 and 100, but he added the number was a difficult thing to anticipate.
