Oread hosts traffic conference Transportation planning and the problems involved in traffic control will be the topics of discussion at the Joint Chapter Conference of the American Public Works Association today and tomorrow. The conference, sponsored by the Kansas State chapter and the Kansas City Metropolitan chapter of the Association, is supporting National Public Works Week, May 14-20. Bill Chestnum, KU Extension official, said the conference was established to provide public works officials with an opportunity to meet, discuss, and exchange information.
