Grant to KUMC The U.S. Public Health Service has granted over $167,000 to the KU Medical Center in Kansas City. The largest portion of the grant, $107,942, is for expansion of the medical library. Another portion, $50,329, was given to Dr. Alan P. Thal for hemodynamic and metabolic studies in pancreatitis. The remainder, $8,985, went to Dr. John M. Nichols for studying adrenocortical adenomas and hypertension. PHOTO VI 3-4435 KU's first interior design symposium, with projects entered by eight universities, will be held in Murphy Hall Saturday. Twenty-four student projects will be displayed and judged for awards totaling $300 during the symposium, co - sponsored by Kansas State University and KU KU to host 1st design symposium chapters of the American Institute of Interior Designers. Each entry will include a drawing and floor plan of a room.
