Page 6 University Daily Kansan Thursday, May 23,1963 Residence Halls Plan Conference Final plans are being made now for the Midwest Association of College and University Residence Halls conference to be held here Aug. 25-28. One hundred fifty delegates are expected to attend from schools in the Midwest and East. Those schools expected to send delegations include the University of Arkansas, Southern Illinois University, Washington University, Nebraska University, Idaho University, Oklahoma State, Kansas State, Iowa State, State College of Iowa, Colorado University, and New Mexico University. Faculty members and administrative personnel from KU, as well as students, are working toward the conference. The purpose of the conference is to discuss residence hall problems and exchange ideas. Scheduled items include discussion groups, business meetings, social functions and a banquet. The banquet speaker will be Bill Butler, Dean of Students at Ohio University. Chairmen Named For Peace Corps John Fairhurst, Wichita junior, and Jack Croughan, Novato, Calif.. junior, were appointed on-campus and off-campus chairmen for next year's Peace Corps committee at the Corps' executive committee meeting last night. Other chairmen appointed to the executive committee include; Carl Kuhlman, Topeka junior, speakers bureau; Laurie Fitzgerald, Independence, Mo., freshman, secretary; Fred Slicker, Tulsa, Oklo, sophomore, treasurer; Bob Crosier, Lawrence sophomore, special events; Jim Murray, Leawood freshman, publicity; Richard Shaefer, Lakewood, Colo., freshman, distribution; Carole Clancy, Lawrence junior, news media; Connie Kosfeld, St. Louis, Ill., sophomore, research; Donna Hanneman, Junction City freshman, counseling service; and Donna Hunt, Kansas City, Mo., freshman, Peace Corps projects.
