Interns learn real Internships give students invaluable by Mario Talkington Kansan staff writer Jim Kellogg had an unusual internship interview a year ago. He was asked to interpret a passage of poetry to a selection of works, and he found the similarities between himself and a plant "It was very different," said Kellogg, Lawrence junior. Despite the unusual selection process, Kellogg said he gained invaluable experience from his internship with the Coro Foundation in Kansas City, Mo. "I only made about $1,000, and half of that went for gas, but it's the experience that counts," he said. "I made a network of friends. I think down the road it will help."
